The revelation ...

Your great-great grandfather and -mother were Adam and Eve -- who were created by God in His image. We read the story of creation in the first chapter of the Bible, in Gen 1:26-28: "Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion ... over all the earth ... So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion ..."

The Bible is God's revelation of His purpose and plan for humanity from creation to consummation. In Genesis we read what God's purpose in creation was and how everything began -- in Revelation we read how everything is going to end and how God's purpose for humanity will be fulfilled. The rest of the Bible is devoted to how God is implementing His purpose through humanity.

God's purpose in creation is to create a posterity and family in His own image, and a bride for His Son to reign with Him over creation in eternity. This is also God's primary purpose for you on earth. God's primary purpose for you on earth is to become a member of His family, to be conformed into His image, and to be equipped to rule with Him over creation in eternity.

God has a glorious plan and purpose for your life as a member of God's family, that includes your spiritual as well as your physical well-being!
